Cupping

This Sunday I went to a Chinese masseuse (no, not that kind of masseuse, get your mind out of the gutter). I went to a lady's home on 30th and Ortega to iron out some cricks in my neck. I've never had a massage before, I'm not really into the whole pain thing, so I was weary to say the least.

I get there thinking I'm only going to do a half hour, but as soon as she starts laying into my back, neck, and "chicken wings" she's like, "You need at least an hour!" Great, I'm thinking, more money I have to spend.

However, my stinginess was subdued once she actually made my back feel a little better, I think. I'm not sure because when she was done with the massage (she gave me an extra half hour), she went on to do some cupping. I've also never had this done to me, so needless to say, I was a bit uncomfortable having my skin pulled up into hickies that are as big as mason jars.

So now, my right side is all messed up. She said it'll get better in three days, it's day one right now, and it's still swollen. I feel like I've been beaten up, like I used to feel after a freshman football game: tired, sore, and a little dazed. I hope this helps.

I need to return to her this weekend so she can finish the job. More to come on this for sure.
