Enduring an Active Little Boy - Falling Asleep While Eating a Tortilla

For the last 4 months my kid has been digging his heels into the ground about me giving him a bath. He just doesn't want it, doesn't want his dada to do it, and he cries for his momma each time I bring up "bath!" When he hears this, he immediately runs away and starts throwing his body all over the place. I have to wrestle him down and overpower him, but man, this kid is strong! (Not to mention wily.)

So he's been throwing these "fits," if you will, and last night I think was the breaking point for him because tonight, he actually walked himself to the bathroom without any incident. What a good boy. I told him I was proud of him and glad that he decided to do the right thing. I think he understood me, I hope.

Nevertheless, I do think this may be a turning point in his growth and emotional development. The fact that he comprehends the consequences of his actions shows me that he's capable of reasoning. And, IMHO, a young child who can begin to learn how to reason at an early age is probably (read: hopefully) going to be more well adjusted as he begins to enter school.

In any case, here's some recent video of him not wanting to sleep and falling asleep eating a tortilla.
