There is one day that happens each year where people are encouraged to shower roses, candy, and general gifts of admiration upon loved ones. But what about all the other days of the year? Those days are humdrum and meaningless when it comes to matters of the heart? Probably not, but that's what it seems like.
This valentines day holiday, I'm left to the monotony of work and babies. There is no romantic dinner, no night on the town, nothing. Instead it's all about routine. That's where I'm at right now: Going through the motions and biding my time until my love and I can celebrate together. It's hard, but only temporary, right?
Gotta push myself on the L Train now and dodge the hordes carrying flowers for their sweeties. Another day, another day.
